KTC Upgrades the Loan Approval Process: Using Robots to Collaborate with People for Increased Work Efficiency

KTC launched the “KTC FACTORANT” project to enhance the efficiency of the loan approval process by introducing robots to collaborate with people. This initiative reduces redundant work steps, increases efficiency in recruiting and evaluating loans, and adjusts the work area to a designated zone to ensure the safety of customer information in alignment with the Information Security Management Standard ISO/IEC 27001:2013 and the Personal Information Management Standard ISO/IEC 27701:2019. As a result, the capacity for card approval has expanded to over 600,000 cases per month.

Ms. Chanidapa Suriya, Head of Customer Service and Business Support Business Unit, “KTC” or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited, stated, “Expanding the member base towards the set goals involves a critical application and approval process that engages multiple departments, requiring continuous effort. KTC is committed to upgrading this process, enhancing workability, speed, and accuracy to boost efficiency in approval considerations. To achieve this, the company has initiated the ‘KTC FACTORANT’ project, aiming to renovate the 17th-floor office space at the Thai Summit Building on New Petchaburi road. This designated special zone will house various agencies involved in the card approval process, facilitating collaboration. The work units will be organized according to the Process Flow and incorporate robot technology to automate certain steps, such as document movement to establish a seamless workflow, reduce waiting and transportation time to enhance efficiency, and operation designed as a production belt (Belt Conveyor Design), ensuring continuous flow, as well as a visualized information dashboard for maximum efficiency.”

“The ‘KTC FACTORANT’ project aims to upgrade the application and credit consideration processes, to reduce unnecessary work time in each application process by at least 85%. The goal is to consistently improve the efficiency of transferring work between departments. It is anticipated that the project will enable KTC to support an increase in new card approvals by no less than 600,000 per month.”
