Cybersec Asia in the Spotlight
Alexander Farkas (Alex), Senior Project Manager, VNU Asia Pacific Co., Ltd., emphasizes the importance of Cybersec Asia 2024 in the face of ongoing cyber threats. The event serves as a crucial platform for cybersecurity awareness, knowledge sharing, networking, and showcasing new technologies, services, and products. Alex also highlights the instrumental partnership with the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) in ensuring the event’s success and maintaining high cybersecurity standards. Together, they aim to contribute to a more secure digital future for Thailand and beyond.
The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), Official Partner
The NCSA’s mission is to strengthen Thailand’s cybersecurity and to protect our digital ecosystems. As the threat landscape continues to evolve rapidly, we face many cybersecurity challenges, including threats caused by individual malicious actors and organized criminal groups. These challenges need to be addressed in order to ensure the safety of people and society. There is no single solution to all cybersecurity issues, but by improving people’s knowledge and skills, processes, and technologies, we can reduce such risks.
NCSA and VNU Asia Pacific have established a collaboration to organize Cybersec Asia X Thailand International Cyber Week 2024. The objective of the event is to bring together cybersecurity professionals, experts, and enthusiasts from across the region to share knowledge and best practices. The event will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions, and workshops on a variety of cybersecurity topics.
“I am confident that the event will provide participants with the knowledge and skills they need to protect themselves and stay ahead of cyber threats. I also believe that the partnership between the NCSA and VNU Asia Pacific will make Thailand’s digital ecosystems safer and stronger.” Air Vice Marshal Amorn Chomchoey, Secretary General of NCSC at the National Cyber Security Agency, Thailand said.
Panel Discussion at the Meet Up Event
In a recent panel discussion on cybersecurity in Thailand, notable figures such as Air Vice Marshal Amorn Chomchoey, Secretary General of NCSA, addressed the nation’s escalating cyber threats and the government’s response. Sarah Hansakul, a prominent figure in the cybersecurity community, emphasized trends and the growth of cybersecurity education in Thai universities. Additionally, Virag Thakkar from Allianz Partners discussed private sector strategies for mitigating cyber threats. This forum served as a pivotal platform for addressing cybersecurity challenges in Thailand and the broader Asian region.
