According to the test results[1], Kaspersky VPN came first in the most tested categories and showed outstanding download capabilities and torrenting speeds in both local and overseas testing. The solution more than doubles industry averages in the local ‘upload’ tests; and outran other participants with an overseas data-transmission performance that was twice as fast. In addition, Kaspersky VPN has received the “Approved virtual private network solution”[2] award for the third time in a row.
Today VPNs are a common solution for multiple tasks and, according to the Forbes Advisor survey, are highly popular in both workplaces and personal use. More than 50% of the people who took our survey reported using a VPN at work, and more than 77% of respondents use them at home. The fact that these services are intuitive and affordable enough to be used by almost anyone undoubtedly makes them more attractive to buyers of all needs and budgets.
According to the AV-TEST results, Kaspersky VPN Secure Connection is overall the fastest product for the local torrent download test. It is the second fastest product tested in Asia, and the fastest product in the US and in the EU where it is significantly faster than other tested solutions. Additionally, users also have no issues watching 4k videos by using the Kaspersky VPN.
Kaspersky VPN is the only product observed with almost equal results across all tested regions [3] in ‘Download’ performance testing. Most products achieved different results in varying geographical locations, possibly reflecting different server capacities or different workloads between the regions. In addition, the Kaspersky solution managed to be the fastest product tested in the EU.
Based on AV-Test data, Kaspersky VPN Secure Connection was also named as the leader in local upload speed. It takes the top spot for upload performance for the local connection as the fastest product in all three regions, doubling the VPN averages for this test.
Additionally, Kaspersky VPN successfully passed usability, security, privacy, performance, and transparency test scenarios in independent assessment and, for the third time in a row, won AV-Test “Approved virtual private network solution” award.
“The VPN package from Kaspersky delivers good performance data in all areas, is set up transparently and protects the privacy of the users. It showed outstanding download and torrenting speeds in both local and overseas scenarios and had no issue playing the test video in 4k video from local or overseas connection. For this, it receives the ‘Approved Virtual Private Network Solution’ award.” said David Walkiewicz, Head of Test Research, AV-TEST.
‘Once a niche product for geeky users, VPNs are now a must-have for anyone who wants to stay safe and private online. What makes a VPN great? Users demand the most secure, convenient, affordable, or fastest service possible. We are proud AV-TEST has recognized Kaspersky VPN as the fastest product in their testing and highlighted our high transparency and privacy standards.’ Comments Marina Titova, Vice-President, Consumer Product Marketing at Kaspersky.

[1] Kaspersky requested AV-Test to add six another VPN solution from well-known developers into the Performance test of the public certification to reveal the performance capabilities of the VPN industry. The request was to run the performance test fully in parallel with the public test and in full accordance with its methodology. The results are published in the separate report, which allows users to easily compare the solutions and select the most appropriate one.
