Slkor’s CEO, SONG Shiqiang Refutate the article “China’s Underground Market of Chips Draws Desperate Automakers” by Bloomberg

Song Shiqiang, CEO of SlkorMicro Semicon Co., Ltd. (www.slkormicro.com), issued a paper refuting Bloomberg’s article “China’s Underground Market of Chips Draws Desperate Automakers”.

Song Shiqiang believed that the article was a distortion of China’s new energy automobile industry chain and Huaqiangbei’s electronic market. Huaqiangbei has always been China’s “first street of electronics”. The business model of Huaqiangbei’s electronic circle, the control of the sales channels of the original electronic component factories, and the strict management of the supply chain by the discrete production model of automobile factories mentioned in the article, several professional and core issues, such as quality control and authenticity detection of electronic components, are only speculated at the superficial level, without any practice and underlying logic support.

In response to the above refutation, Song Shiqiang has sufficient arguments and clear logic, and he summarized characteristics of the semiconductor industry (the prospective layout of the wafer fab, the plan and the activation, premium services for large enterprises, the shortage of chip supply basically has little impact on major car makers), characteristics of the supply chain of the automobile industry (point to point closed-loop service, the electronic component supplier certification, durability test, Incoming material inspection, the automobile recall system and commercial compensation), inspection of electronic components, features of Huaqiangbei.

He made a statement from multiple perspectives, refuting Bloomberg’s inappropriate posting, proposing from a professional perspective, respecting the history of Huaqiang North Electronics First Street, respecting the development efficiency of domestic alternatives, and making in-depth research is the only way to have right to speak in the news.

Mr. Song Shiqiang is a private economic researcher of the Economic Development Center of the State Council, a member of the electronic information expert database of the China Association of Science and Technology, and a business research expert of Huaqiang North. Now he is investing and operating Shenzhen SlkorMicro Semicon Co., Ltd. (www.slkormicro.com) and Shenzhen Kinghelm Electronics Co., Ltd. to build the brands of  “SLKOR” and “KINGHELM”.
