depa launches “Smart Economy Showcase,” a new roadshow plan in 3 provinces, to drive entrepreneurs in the areas with digital technology to get through the COVID-19 pandemic and to be ready for transition to the “Smart Economy Showcase”.
Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) announces for readiness in organizing the roadshow “Smart Economy Showcase” to collaborate with partners and digital startup networks in Ubon Ratchathani, Songkhla, and Phitsanulok provinces by contributing opportunities for every entrepreneur in the areas to approach and select appropriate digital technology to enhance their business efficiency, to overcome COVID-19 impacts, and to be equipped for the transitioning to be Smart Economy Showcase.
Dr. Nuttapon Nimmanphatcharin, President/CEO of Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa), joins the press conference to announce the arranged activities that support the application of digital innovation and technology to drive Smart Economy Showcase in Ubon Ratchathani, Songkhla, and Phitsanulok provinces. At the event, Mr. Sarit Witoon, Governor of Ubon Ratchathani province, province, Mr. Ronnachai Jitwiset, Governor of Phitsanulok province, Mr. Wongsakorn Nunchukan, Vice Governor of Songkhla together with delegates from all related departments also participate.
Dr. Nuttapon said that, regarding to what H.E. Chaiwut Thanakamanusorn, Minister of Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES) has guided depa a policy to deliberately push every sector to be able to apply digital innovation and technology through digital knowledge and skill development to people. depa continuously supports and encourages business sectors including factories, SMEs, shops, communities, and farmers to access and sort out suitable technologies that fit their ambiances from digital startup networks. This is to uplift business performance, provide solutions, reduce cost, increase revenue, overcome impacts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as prepare promptness for the digital economy and society era.
Smart Economy Showcase activity would be helpful to SMEs and entrepreneurs in agricultural and food industries in Ubon Ratchathani, Songkhla, and Phitsanulok provinces, as entrepreneurs are able to access good quality digital technology from depa registered digital startup networks. The entrepreneurs can choose and apply the technology that benefits their business, answering business needs and increasing effectiveness, expanding markets, and generating new business opportunities. depa has chosen over 30 digital startups, as technology service providers, in 5 categories, including Logistics/Delivery, POS, E-Payment, Digital Content, and Services to gives solutions and provide supports that go straightforwardly to any demand of local entrepreneurs.
