Mr. Disathat Panyarachun, Chief Executive Officer of PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR), chaired the opening ceremony of “OR TECH SPARK: DIGITAL DAY” to reaffirm the company’s unwavering commitment to digital transformation. The event highlighted OR’s efforts to drive the organization towards the future, addressing rapidly changing consumer behaviors in the digital era. It also emphasized the company’s vision for advancing the oil and retail business, creating new opportunities, and strengthening its business portfolio to ensure sustainable development in all aspects.

Mr. Disathat emphasized that OR’s goal is to enhance organizational efficiency through a comprehensive and fully integrated digital transformation strategy. OR has set a clear framework to guide this change across three essential areas, including People, by focusing on developing its workforce’s digital and data skills, empowering employees to make accurate and correct decisions; Process, by streamlining and optimizing its internal processes, ensuring faster and more accurate operations; Technology, by adopting cutting-edge technology to enhance its competitive edge while managing costs effectively, driving improvements across all operational areas.

The “OR TECH SPARK: DIGITAL DAY” event also featured distinguished speakers, including Mr. Somchai Lertsutiwong, Chairman of OR’s Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer and Director of Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited (AIS), who delivered a keynote address on “Triple Transformations: A Success Story from AIS.” Additionally, Mr.Tawatchai Cheevanon, OR’s Independent Director and Chief Product and Business Solutions Officer of Krungthai Bank Public Company Limited, participated in a panel discussion with Mr. Pakorn Suriyabhivadh, Senior Executive Vice President, Digital Business and Solutions of OR. The discussion focused on sharing insights and best practices for digital transformation within the banking and energy industries.

In addition, the event featured a showcase of cutting-edge innovations and advanced technologies that OR is leveraging to drive its business forward. Highlights included Geo-Analytics Platform, an intelligent system combining advanced analytics with interactive visualization, designed to analyze the optimal locations for OR’s businesses such as PTT Station, Cafe Amazon, FIT Auto, and EV Station PluZ; APO (Advanced Planning and Optimization) System, a tool used to forecast oil demand across the supply chain; Customer Management and Loyalty Management System, a platform that supports OR’s customer relationship management efforts through OR Blue+. The event also featured OR’s leading technology partners – Microsoft, Accenture, MFEC, AWS, and ORBIT Digital, who contributed to the display of advanced technological solutions.

OR’s Digital Transformation journey began in September 2024, and the company formally launched its Digital Transformation Journey plan in early November 2024. To further fuel innovation, OR hosted a Data Hackathon, encouraging employees to harness the company’s data to create new, impactful use cases. The event culminated in the Final Pitching session, where the finalists presented their projects to a panel of expert judges in “Data Analytics,” with the most innovative teams selected for their outstanding ideas.
