Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd has collaborated with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation (MHESI) to promote digital knowledge and expedite the cultivation of high-quality digital talents in Thailand. This collaboration aims to enhance the nation’s digital capabilities and support its vision of becoming a hub of digital economy in ASEAN.
Currently, the company has formed collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, along with various agencies under the ministry, such as the National Innovation Agency (Public Organization) and the National Science and Technology Development Agency, to develop human resources through various joint projects. One example of the collaboration between the ministry and Huawei is the establishment of the Huawei ASEAN Academy (Thailand), aimed at jointly developing personnel with digital skills in Cloud and AI.
The platform of Huawei ASEAN Academy (Thailand) took part in the development of over 96,000 local talents in Thailand, covering a broad spectrum from ICT professionals to solar engineers and rural students. As Thailand moves towards a digital and intelligent nation, Huawei is dedicated to developing a total of 100,000 talents by 2025, with highlighted programs such as CEO leadership training, Cloud AI developer, and green engineer training.
In line with the government’s policy, Huawei ASEAN Academy (Thailand) has been designed to meet the diverse requirements of Thailand’s digital transformation in 4 key directions:

- Engineer School: Concentrated on practitioners and vocational training. For instance, Huawei works closely with the Ministry of Labor and Thailand Professional Qualification Institute to develop 5G engineers and green engineers, ensuring that the local workforce is equipped with cutting-edge skills.

Since the launch of Huawei Digital Bus in 2022, this mobile training vehicle has traveled to 14 provinces in Thailand to provide telecommunication and children online protection training to remote communities.
2024 marks the 25th year of Huawei’s establishment in Thailand, driven by the mission of “Grow in Thailand, Contribute to Thailand”. Among the technologies, innovations and applications, digital talent stands out as a strategic investment director of Huawei. This milestone underscores Huawei’s commitment to fostering a talent ecosystem that better utilizes and nurtures digital talents with partners such as MHESI, ensuring Thailand’s continued progress and competitiveness in the digital economy.
