Data + AI World Tour comes to Thailand for the first-time ever

The inaugural event in Thailand is part of a global movement to bring the data lakehouse to local data communities

Databricks, the lakehouse company, gathered data and AI experts and visionaries at its inaugural Data + AI World Tour in Bangkok, to connect, share best practices, and get a first look at the company’s latest product innovations.

The event theme ‘Destination Lakehouse’ highlights the building blocks of the modern data stack and focuses on the data lakehouse that enables data champions to mobilize data assets quickly for better, more informed business decisions.

Pioneered by Databricks, the lakehouse is an open and unified data management architecture that combines the flexibility, cost-efficiency and scalability of data lakes with the data management features of data warehouses, enabling business intelligence (BI) and machine learning (ML) on all data.

Databricks customers are using the lakehouse to support their data and analytics use case – from data warehousing and business intelligence (BI), to data engineering and AI/ML workloads – in a single, unified platform.

Data + AI World Tour in Thailand featured a broad lineup of Thai data and AI leaders from KASIKORNBANK, Makro and Lotus’s, True Digital Group, Siam Commercial bank, Bitkub, SCB DataX, FWD Insurance, and SCB TechX, among others.

Data-forward companies are harnessing the value of their data and applying AI to optimize their business operations and drive innovations through the lakehouse platform.

“As the digital arm of True Corporation, we process data for over 30 million customers, developing clean, standardized, and modeled components that enable us to build customized solutions for advertising, credit risk, and business insights.
