Bett, the global community for education technology, has successfully hosted the 6th annual Bett Asia Leadership Summit & Expo in Bangkok at The Athenee Hotel, co-hosted with the Ministry of Education Thailand and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Thailand. The two-day event showcased the latest technologies in education at the Expo and key opportunities for future of education at the Leadership Summit as well as acknowledged top leaders in education during the Bett Asia Awards.
Bett Asia 2022 has brought over 2,000 visitors from 49 countries. It was a very senior gathering of education leaders including over 700 education buyers and hundreds government representatives from Asian Ministries of Education including Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Brunei, Laos and Malaysia. With the theme ‘Education as a Catalyst for Change’, the expo, held for the first time in three years, highlighted the most pressing challenges and priorities of education stakeholders and recognised the importance of new solutions through technology advancement in today’s world.
With 52 exhibitors showcasing their latest technologies and services at the expo, attendees had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience of EdTech solutions from global top technology companies such as Microsoft, Lenovo, HP, Zoom and many more.
The invitation-only Leadership Summit allowed attendees to network with other senior leaders and educators from all over APAC. The summit covered key topics on how EdTech can improve the education system and to enhance the outcomes and enrich learning experiences for all learners.
The Classroom Theatre was also part of Bett Asia 2022 that underlined the latest innovations and solutions which are evolving around teaching through creative learning experiences. These sessions in the Classroom Theatre not only included the teacher training through EdTech solutions and innovations, but also an opportunity for professional career development for education professionals.

Bett Asia Awards, held on the first day of the event, celebrated and championed the EdTech trendsetters and innovators across APAC region, including key categories such as The 21st Century Learning Award, The Pioneer Award, and The Wellbeing Award.
Bett Asia 2022 had hosted APAC’s brightest thought leaders, innovators, and practitioners from the world of education, including speakers such as Larry Nelson, Regional Business Leader & General Manager Asia Education, Microsoft, Brajesh Panth, Chief of Education Sector Group, Asian Development Bank, Chandran Nair, Founder & CEO, Global Institute For Tomorrow, Professor Dr. Angelina Yee, Director of Research and Enterprise, Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation, and Professor Dr. Jintavee Khlaisang, Lecturer, Faculty of Education / Deputy Director, Thai MOOC Chulalongkorn University.
Bett Asia 2022 had 36 sponsors and partners around the world, including UK Department for International trade, Intel, and Pearson. The next Bett event will be in London from March 29 to 31, 2023 and the next Bett Asia will be in Bangkok from October 18 to 19, 2023 at The Athenee Hotel.
