Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co. Ltd., a leading global ICT solutions provider, recently held a state-of-the-art exhibition themed “Experience the Limitless Life with 5G” highlighting its latest technological innovations at the National Science and Technology Fair 2021, held at IMPACT Arena, Muang Thong Thani. Organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), the country’s biggest science and technology fair aims to raise the public awareness of the importance of science and technology and to inspire young people to build their knowledge and skills, with the aim to prepare Thai people for the new digital economy. Huawei showcased latest digital innovations for 5G applications and services across various industries. Each solution was co-developed with its local partner through a hi-tech platform provided by Thailand 5G Ecosystem Innovation Center (5G EIC).
At Huawei’s innovative booth, Mr. Abel Deng, Huawei Thailand CEO, gave a warm welcome to Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha and Professor Dr. Anek Laothammatas, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, during their visit at the Fair. The Huawei CEO gave the premier a tour and explained how the smart solutions can enhance real-life business operations. The Prime Minister explored 5G application services developed by 5G EIC and Huawei’s partners TKK Corporation Co., Ltd, Illusion Connect (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and CMIT Robotics, Kasertsart University.
At its “Limitless Life with 5G” booth, Huawei unveiled top-notch innovations, developed in collaboration with local partners utilizing cutting-edge technology and comprehensive platform at 5G EIC. Each solution promised to spark new business opportunities for SMEs, startups and educational institutions. Leveraging on advanced technologies such as 5G, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality and cloud, the featured solutions displayed at the booth include: 1) Cheetah Greet Bot, an AI Smart Service Robot that supports facial recognition and data analysis. 2) Lucki Service Bot, a smart catering robot for smart delivery solution 3) Steriliz Air, a Multi-Functional Plasma Air Sterilizer that kills 99.99% of bacteria and viruses including Coronavirus. 4) VR Live Broadcast that allows smooth live-streaming with 8K resolution for an immersive entertainment experience. 5) Cobot, an X-pert System Automation solution for the industrial sector, enabling smart data collection from multiple machine sensors and smooth IoT connectivity. The first three solutions were created by TKK Corporation Co., Ltd, while the fourth and the fifth were by Illusion Connect (Thailand) Co., Ltd and CMIT Robotics, Kasertsart University, respectively.
At the exhibition, visitors can also get their hands on various VR Headsets equipped with cloud-based graphics processor that enables crystal clear Virtual Reality for both work and play, as well as AR Glasses for 5G Telemedicine, designed for accurate and timely diagnoses. The glasses are already in use at Siriraj Hospital, the Ministry of Public Health, and Phayathai Hospital (Sriracha Branch).
Through its participation at the fair, Huawei seeks to empower the young generation in the upcoming digital era. “In the recent decades, human society is rapidly marching into the fourth industrial revolution represented by digital technologies. Like the role of electricity 100 years ago, ICT technologies such as 5G AI, IoT and cloud are being integrated into all aspects of human society, promoting industrial, social, and national development. During the pandemic, this digital transformation trend has been accelerated for 7 years globally, and 10 years for the Asia Pacific region. Huawei’s ICT programs including hands-on trainings and professional certification exams aim to lay a strong foundation for a healthy ICT workforce ecosystem.
