The PARQ, the mixed-use development integrating smart workplaces and retail under the concept of “Life Well Balanced”, has recently collaborated with Huawei, a leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices, to become Thailand’s first mixed-use building with Wi-Fi 6 Technology. The PARQ provides ultra-fast wireless internet speed in its retail areas with more stability even during periods of peak usage. Wi-Fi 6 offers the fastest speed of up to 10.75 Gb/s while consuming 30% less energy. These benefits complement The PARQ’s trademark concept of Life Well Balanced by enhancing convenience for an ever more connected urban lifestyle.
“For The PARQ, the technology used must be carefully selected and conform to the highest international standards. We are pleased that a world-leading telecommunications company like Huawei has joined hands with The PARQ, enabling us to become the first mixed-use building to adopt Wi-Fi 6 Technology, which is at the forefront of the industry. This is a partnership built on shared values, with The PARQ and Huawei sharing a strong belief that consumer-centric green technology innovations can enhance the quality of life. The PARQ’s engineering team has also been working hand-in-hand with Huawei to ensure that this new technology will support retailers and customers and eventually, the workforce’s productivity.” said Mr. Kamolnai Chaixanien, Executive Director of TCC Assets (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
“We’re very pleased to be part of an outstanding project such as The PARQ. Huawei is committed to supporting and enabling customers and partners with the best technology and solutions. Wi-Fi 6 standard is one of our leading technologies that we have developed and which plays a big role in the global industry. We believe it will be able to meet customers’ ever-changing demands and help them respond to and address challenges,” said Mr. Kevin Cheng, President of Huawei Enterprise Thailand.
The PARQ is designed to be a fully integrated building through the implementation of strong network infrastructure and the use of all smart innovations including QR Code, facial recognition, smart contactless visitor registration, and license plate recognition. With Huawei’s Wi-Fi 6 Technology, it will bring about ultra-fast wireless speed for retail areas which in turn enhances the experience for tenants, retailers and customers of the building.
Developed by TCC Assets, with Frasers Property Holdings (Thailand) Co., Ltd., part of the Frasers Property Group, as the project’s Development Manager and Asset Manager, The PARQ is pioneering Thailand’s adoption of international design and sustainability standards, raising the bar for eco-friendly buildings that benefit both human occupants and the larger environment. It has received pre-WELL certification and is on track to become the country’s first mixed-use development to achieve both WELL Certification and LEED Gold v4 Certification – the latest for sustainable green buildings.
The inaugural phase of The PARQ comprises The PARQ Workplace – a Grade A commercial space totaling 60,000 square metres (sqm) with Thailand’s largest column-free commercial floor plate at 5,200 sqm per floor – and The PARQ Life which offers 12,000 sqm of more than 60 dining, shopping, fitness and wellness amenities to meet the everyday needs of its occupants, visitors, and the surrounding areas. The development has a gross floor area of 130,000 sqm, with an investment value of THB 8 billion.
The PARQ has recently won Best Office Development Awards, and Thailand’s Best Commercial Green Development award at PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards 2020. It also topped three categories at the PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards 2020, having clinched Best Office Development, Best Office Architectural Design and Best Green Development. In addition, it received the “Special Recognition Award, Green Innovation” award from Dot Property Thailand Awards 2020 for its recognition as the best green development project in Thailand.
